It’s hard to believe that I’m nearly finished with my Cisco training. Even though constant studying has definitely taken its toll on me, I’ve had a blast. I’d do it again in a heartbeat. I’ve learned more in the past weeks than I could have in any other way. You go all in or not at all. It truly is the best way, the only way to achieve what you want.
I’m glad Cisco extended the study time to April 7th. I wouldn’t have been able to finish on time otherwise. The time is ticking but I think I can do it. I believe!
So, what’s next?
I have no idea what’s next. I have no grand plan yet. All I know for sure right now is:
- Finish all Cisco materials before time runs out.
- After time runs out, review whatever I need to to prepare for the two exams.
- Take the exams. PASS the exams.
- By then I’ll have started my last two classes at DeVry. I’ll be working on my Senior Project.
- Graduate! Finally.
- I’d love to get back to the program made by University of Helsinki if it’s still available. I might do that right after I’m done with Cisco.
- Then, there’s plenty more to learn. I’m sure I will not run out of topics to study 🙂
Let’s not forget the elephant in the room
Well, it all comes down to being able to use all of these newly acquired skills professionally, doesn’t it. I don’t know where that will be. I’ve already started playing with new skills like programming at my current job (which doesn’t really require programming). I just pitched an idea to my CEO about a program I could write for a report he wants. I think I surprised him when I told him I didn’t need to outsource it to our usual consultants. I’m eager to show off. Who knows where that will lead to.
Here’s to the future and whatever it may hold!
